COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Currently dental ceramics are one of the fastest developing areas of dental material research and development. In the last few decades, there have been tremendous advances in the mechanical properties and methods of fabrication of ceramic materials. Continued developments in all-ceramics are sure to progress, so its important to understand how far we have come, and how ceramic material properties have evolved.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the history of all-ceramics and their importance to dentistry
  • Recognize and categorize the different all-ceramic choices on the market today
  • Walk away with a comprehensive knowledge of zirconia properties and how that applies to restorative choices
  • Take a look at where the future of all-ceramics is heading
  • Better understand proper cementation protocol for the different types of all-ceramic materials"

Well-versed in a variety of indirect restorative options, bonding versus cementing as well as prep guidelines. Work with doctors daily to troubleshoot and improve issues with debonds, fractures, discoloration, etc.
