This intense three day hands-on workshop will focus on mastering the most efficient workflow in implant dentistry. The goal is mastering the digital implant workflow to minimize patient visits and increase profitability without clinical compromise. In fact, I would argue that this workflow is actually clinically superior to the way most of us are doing it today.
Day 1. Mastering Virtual Planning and Surgical Guides
During this day focus will be given to advanced virtual implant planning techniques that go beyond the ‘simple’ posterior implant. We will focus on the critical concepts to properly planning anterior implant cases that ensure ideal soft tissue support and tri-dimensional implant placement. Further attention will also be given to fundamental principles to identify cases appropriate for immediate implant placement and the how to avoid pitfalls. Finally, we will turn our attention to tips and tricks for treatment planning the partially edentulous patient with multiple implants.
Additionally, during this day time will also be spent on understanding the various surgical guide choices and fabrication techniques. You will leave with the ability to identify which guide is appropriate for which situations. Through hands-on exercises you will learn to fabricate a surgical guide for partially edentulous and fully edentulous patients.
Participants will complete the following exercises during Day 1:
1. Virtual implant planning several anterior implant cases
2. Virtual implant planning posterior and anterior implant cases
3. Virtual implant planning partially edentulous implant case
4. Fabricate partially and fully edentulous SiCAT Classic Guide
Day 2 & 3. CEREC in the Implant Practice
During this day the focus will turn towards maximizing CEREC in the 3D implant practice and optimization to create the most efficient workflow in implant dentistry. Participants will be introduced to advanced CEREC Galileos/XG3D Integration, CEREC Guide, and CEREC screw retained implant restorations.
The most efficient workflow is based on ‘crown down’ prostheticall driven implant planning. Participants will be introduced to advanced techniques for developing more ideal prosthetic designs for implant planning. Specifically, participants will utilize CEREC to design multiple missing teeth, immediate extraction sites, and high aesthetic anterior situations.
Participants will receive a detailed overview of CEREC Guide - benefits, indications, limitations, and advanced uses. Through hands-on exercises you will understand the components and the fabrication technique for creating the CEREC Guide scanning appliance, actually mill the CEREC Guide, and place an implant using CEREC Guide on a typodont. Detailed attention will be given understanding and avoiding potential pitfalls during the virtual implant planning phase of CEREC Guide. These hands-on exercises are designed to provide you with an immersive and life-like experience.
Attendees will also receive a detailed overview of the CEREC screw retained implant restoration. You will understand the indications, precision components, design process, and delivery protocol. Participants will actually scan, design, mill, finish, and deliver a restoration during the hands-on exercise. Attention will also be given to the fine details during the virtual planning phase to ensure a screw retained restoration. Finally, you will be introduced to Dr. Agarwal’s delivery technique that maximizes keratinized tissue and idealizes soft tissue contours.
Participants will complete the following exercises during Day 2 & 3:
1. Virtual design and SSI export of advanced implant designs
2. Fabricate and mill a CEREC Guide
3. Place an implant using a milled CEREC Guide
4. Fabricate, mill, and deliver a CEREC screw retained implant restoration
5. Complete an entire 3D implant case from start to finish
This workshop will feature a live patient case demonstrating case diagnosis, implant placement, and CEREC restoration. See it in action!
BONUS. Building Your Implant Practice
Dr. Agarwal will share solid business principles that will help propel your implant practice to the next level. Specifically he will share his ‘flat fee’ approach to fee setting for implant cases that makes it easier for your team to enroll patients and your patients to say yes. He will also share an ‘in house’ patient payment plan that has dramatically increased production and exactly how to implement this in your practice.
