Description

Egg is a symbol of life and protection in many cultures.

This ancient tradition is based on using fresh eggs and dyes with a wax relief technique. Colors and designs have a symbolic meaning, as if you are writing a message. Make a gift to yourself or your family by learning and passing on this ancient tradition.

According to a legend, as long as Pysanka decorating tradition exists, Good will prevail over evil.

This wonderful meditative activity is enjoyed by children (10 years +) and adults. It can be a family activity.

$10 fee (cash or check payable to the instructor before the class) for materials: selected raw eggs, dyes, wax, tools, hand-outs with directions, plates, and cups.

With the support of Cafe Organique in Kirkland that has a hen as its logo. We believe that it a good combination of having a hen and eggs together as symbol of nurture, nature, protection, and mystery of life--Who ccame first?
