The UKCRC Tissue Directory and Coordination Centre is an exciting new initiative to improve access to human tissue samples for research purposes in the UK.
The aim of the Centre is to optimise the use of human tissue collections while minimising the duplication of effort. One of the key features is the creation of a tissue directory that allows researchers to search for human samples from across the UK.
Institutes and custodians of collections will be able to promote information about their sample collections and also provide information on their capability to obtain samples that researchers need in the future.
Led by Centre Director Dr Phil Quinlan, this event is designed to tell potential users more about the Centre’s role in biobanking in the UK, explain the Tissue Directory’s capabilities, address user feedback, and also show how to register collections on the Directory.
