Four Chicago-based UK artists are holding an exhibit to benefit Egmont Trust, a leading UK children's charity.
The event is being hosted at the private Residence of the British Consul General, on the 61st floor of the Olympia Towers in downtown Chicago, across from the Museum of Contemporary Art (and it's MCA's First Friday... so why not do both? UK/Chicago is perfect "after party"...). This venue is not usually open to the public-- in fact this is a first-- so take advantage of this great opportunity to take in one of the most incredible views of the Chicago skyline.
Your $15 donation gets you in to see some art, a breathtaking view of the city and a glass of wine... best of all, 100% of your donation goes to charity.
The venue can hold 100 so places are limited...
More about Egmont Trust:: Improving the lives of children affected by HIV and AIDS
Egmont's strategy is rare: we support a portfolio of over 50 grassroots, locally inspired initiatives that we have seen can change lives; and operate in an unbureaucratic, low-cost manner. Our trustees cover all operational costs, so 100% of donations go directly to projects in Africa.
UNAIDS forecasts that by 2015, the number of children orphaned by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa could exceed 14 million. By combining finance sector know-how with decades of experience in Africa, the Egmont Trust team is improving the lives of children living with HIV & AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa one smart, cost-effective project at a time.
