Event description

Description

Join former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd for the UK launch of the first volume of his memoirs, Not for the Faint-hearted: A personal reflection on life, politics and purpose.

A Mandarin-speaking former diplomat, committed Christian and self-described policy wonk, Kevin Rudd led Australia through the Global Financial Crisis and helped establish the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who also helped establish the G20 Leaders’ Summit and led his own country through the global recovery effort, will be present to launch Mr. Rudd’s book. Mr. Brown will later that evening deliver the inaugural Harold Wilson lecture at the Sheldonian in Oxford (tickets sold separately).

Copies of Kevin Rudd's book will be available to collect on the evening for the special price of £15. All books must be purchased in advance--there will be no sales on the night.

All proceeds from ticket and book sales will be donated to the National Apology Foundation for Indigenous Australians.
