Description

Ujima (oo-jee-mah) Collective Work & Responsibility

It is Nguzo Saba Kwanzaa Principle #3 Meaning "To build and maintain our community together, and to make our brother's and sister's problems our problems, and to solve them together."

Join us for our call and response panel discussion town hall series! Panelists, audience, and artists will share a dialogue on the Create NYC platform. This series of arts-based engagement town halls will generate a forum for local civic engagement around the implementation of New York City's first Cultural Plan and control the narrative for our community. These discussions will culminate with a collaborative exhibition installation from local artists during ARTsPlosion, AENY's largest community event of the year!
