UF/IFAS Sumter County presents The Evening Gardener Session - "To Prune or Not to Prune, That is the Question" - March 19th 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (EDT)
“To Prune or not to Prune – That is the Question”
Actually you can add to that famous phrase…..what to prune, when to prune, how to prune, what are the proper pruning tools, etc. And you'll learn about that awful crime against crapemyrtles - Crape Murder!
Some plants don’t need pruning. If you prune at the wrong time, you can be cutting off next year’s blooms. If you prune too much, you can cause damage to the plant or tree. Confusing, isn’t it?
Our UF/IFAS Sumter County Extension Agent, Jim Davis, will clear up all the confusion and teach you what you need to know about pruning so you can keep your landscape and trees healthy and looking their best. Weather permitting, we will have a hands-on pruning demonstration in our demo garden.
Please join us for this presentation of The Evening Gardener speaker series on March 19th 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Sumter County Ag Center in Bushnell. If you prefer to register offline or need more information call 352-793-2728, Ext. 229 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and leave your name, phone number and number of tickets requested.
