Description

How do you determine the amount of water to apply to container plants? An irrigation control system developed at the University of Florida, IFAS has been used at Cherrylake to produce plants grown with overhead sprinkler and micro-irrigation. The irrigation control system called CIRRIG uses onsite weather and leaching fraction information to automatically adjust irrigation run times daily. Participants will learn about the use of CIRRIG and see plants grown with overhead sprinkler and micro-irrigation controlled by CIRRIG as well as learn about the factors that go into the decision making process.

There will be no onsite registration. Registration is limited to 45 people and closes August 17, 2017.
