Event description

Description

We have planned a fun filled summer for adults and kids alike!

Please sign up your group of 25 or less (minimum of 10) for a play-based learning experience!

You will receive a healthy meal, a project box to take home and a wonderful outdoor academic learning experience right here at Tegan's Hopeful Storybook Garden located in the Edison Neighborhood! Your group of kids will be having so much fun playing that they won't even realize that we are reinforcing academic themes through our community integrated play-based learning sessions.

We boast of 54 PK-12th grade art and recreation infused academic activities that support core competencies and literacy and that align with Kalamazoo Public Schools Strategic Planning Expectations for Community.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There is no minimum age to enter Tegan's Hopeful Storybook Garden. Our hope is that groups, families and individuals will explore the garden at their leisure during times where we are not conducting programming.

(Monday- Thursday, 8am-3pm)

However, we are a guided play-based learning program site, and our facilitators have the capacity to run sessions for groups of similarly aged/abled children starting from 3 years up to 12th grade.

Children must be able to walk (be mobile with reasonable accommodation) to participate in our programming.

This is a garden space, and programming lasts for 1.5 hour sessions.

Please take this into consideration when scheduling your event and let our staff know of any special accommodations that your group may require.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You may park in the front of our garden off the street where space is available.

Organizations are responsible for providing their own transportation.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You may contact the organizer with any questions via email at info@teganashopefulstorybookgarden.com and receive a rapid response.

What's the refund policy?

The event cost is $17.50 per child and $10.25 per adult. With a minimum group of 10-

Adults do NOT receive project boxes.

Children will receive an iTunes download code to the story in the garden, a project box for an at home activity, a delicious healthy meal and of course the AWESOME experience!

We are located outside and we run programming Monday-Thursday with Friday's being reserved for "rain dates". If it rains on the day of your scheduled trip to the garden, we will reschedule your group for the NEXT Friday available, or at an open time slot, if one is available and it fits. We will only provide refunds for dates that are unable to be rescheduled due to weather and/or that are cancelled 14 days before your scheduled visit.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we prepare and make our food fresh for you to enjoy! It would be a huge financial and environmental risk for us to incur without notice. Thank you for your consideration.

Upon registration, you will receive a menu and you can outline your preferences for your meal selections and project boxes.

Each project box and play-based learning session align with the selected grade level specific core competency.

Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies-

You must select one core competency for the entire group's project boxes-
