Event description

Description

Horses produce an average of 50lbs of manure per day! When managed correctly all this waste doesn't have to be wasted. In this workshop explore ways to put your manure to work by composting it into a high quality source of nutrients for your pasture. We will begin in the classroom where you will hear from University of Florida experts and end the day by touring three working farms that have conquered mount manure! Lunch and materials are provided. Space is limited to the first 30 who register. Transportation will be provided to and from the Marion County Extension Office and the site visits west of Ocala. For special transportation requests please contact the event organizer.
