About this event
Join the UF Honors program for an open house-styled event geared toward rising high school juniors and seniors. Prospective students and their guests (maximum of 2) will attend multiple sessions to learn about what UF Honors has to offer, including but not limited to studying abroad, pre-health advising, and experiential learning. Students will have opportunities to meet current Honors students and hear from Honors staff/faculty. A prepaid lunch will be provided.
NOTE: This event is best suited for rising high school juniors and seniors. All sessions will be geared toward preparing a UF Honors application for students looking to enter college in 2023 or 2024. If one has already been admitted to UF Honors and is deciding whether or not to confirm acceptance to begin in Summer/Fall 2022, then they should attend an admitted students' webinar or info session.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
10:15 to 11am: Check-in
11 to 11:30am: Welcome / Tabling Shift A
11:45am to 12:15pm: Welcome / Tabling Shift B
12:15 to 12:45pm: Exercise (students) / Info Session (families)
1 to 2pm: Lunch
2:10 - 3pm: Honors Families Session (families)
2:10 - 2:30pm: Panel Session A (students)
2:40 - 3pm: Panel Session B (students)
3:15 - 3:30: Closing Remarks
