Q.What is "Udon"? What is it actually like?

Noodle dishes have long been a popular part of Japanese cuisine. One popular type of noodle is Udon, which is a thick white noodle made of wheat flour. While there are various histories of Udon, it is widely believed that it was imported from China more than a thousand years ago. The thickness of the noodle and cooking methods vary regionally across Japan, and it is also considered a rice substitute in the Japanese diet.

There is a type of Udon Noodle famous for its smooth texture called "Sanuki-Udon" from Kagawa, also a flat shaped one called "Inaniwa-Udon".

There are fast-food restaurants which serve Udon dishes across Japan. Udon may be served cold or hot, in a soy-sauce based soup with toppings, such as tempura, seaweed or eggs. It can be prepared at home, and is also available in a variety of instant noodles.

Q.What is "Natural Agriculture"?

Natural Agriculture emphasizes the farmer's harmonious relationship to nature.

It is a way of farming that refrains from using fertilizers, manure, pesticides, and agrochemicals. While being a form of food cultivation, Natural Agriculture gardening and framing is also a spiritual pursuit.

We will be honored if you come and join us on Saturday November 3!
