Scleroderma Patient Education Day at UCSD Saturday, October 5th, 2019

Check in at 9:00 am Program starts at 9:30 am


We look forward to seeing you at the Scleroderma Foundation of Southern California Patient Education Day this year! This event is a wonderful opportunity to learn from the experts, take notes and ask questions in order to live the best life you can INFORMED while living with scleroderma. It's also a great way to meet and connect with the members and leaders of our support groups and families from your community.

Morning refreshments, lunch and parking vouchers provided by the Scleroderma Foundation.

You must register to attend as seating is limited. This is a FREE event to members of the Scleroderma Foundation, or membership fee of $25 can be collected during check in. (Spouses & Caregivers do not have to pay)

DRESS WARM, BRING GLOVES and BLANKET IN CASE OF PROBLEMS WITH ROOM TEMPERATURE!

PLEASE NOTE: When you register we base the amount of food ordered as well as copies of the program on the total number of registrations. PLEASE, we are asking those who RSVP to let us know if they become unable to attend as soon as possible. This will allow us to adjust the food order and amount of copies we make of the programs to cut down on our cost. Also, by alerting us that you are unable to attend, another patient, physician or caregiver can take your place.

This years topics:

1st Speaker: 9:40 am- 10:25 Dr. Brian Pederson "Scleroderma Overview"

2nd Speaker: 10:25 am- 11:10 am Dr. Gordon Saxe "Understanding the Importance of Integrative Diet and Nutrition for people living with Scleroderma and Other Autoimmune Diseases"

5 minute Bathroom and Strecth Break

3rd Speaker: 11:15pm- 12:00 pm Dr. Aline Bravo "The Latest Updates in Scleroderma Clinical Trials"

Lunch 12:00 pm to 1:00

4th and Final Speaker: 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm Patient Panel - Our very own Kelly Clemeshaw and Susan Okuno will share their journey - Living with Scleroderma and their Roles as Support Group Leaders.

Closing Remarks

We are providing coffee, water and fruit with assorted pastries and muffins in the morning with lunch in the afternoon. Lunch will include a variety of sandwhiches and salads for our Gluten Free Folks :)

FAQs

What Building is the conference in? We are in the Main Lobby, Lecture Hall at end of Lobby. There will be volunteers guiding you to the conference rooms.

What are my parking options getting to the event? There is parking adjacent to the Main Hospital with plenty of Handicapped Parking. We are providing parking vouchers.
