UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs,
UCLA Government and Community Relations, and
Los Angeles Council President Herb Wesson
invite you to the 11th Annual luncheon for
UCLA Luskin Day at Los Angeles City Hall:
“LA High Tech: Who (Really) Owns the Digital City?”
Luncheon and Public Debate:
Friday, February 27, 2015
In a 2014 Digital Cities Survey that honored cities with best practices in public sector information and communications technology, Los Angeles was named the #1 Digital City among large metropolitan cities. What does this mean for the so called “digital divide”? Will all Angelenos have access to the use of cutting edge technology or will economic and social inequality hamper access? As Los Angeles moves to deploy technology to modernize city government, it is an opportune time for Luskin students to analyze the city’s goals, possible impact, and stakeholder concerns.
We invite all Luskin alumni and City Hall colleagues to join us for lively discussion and networking with Luskin students, local policymakers, and professionals.
