Event description
UCL Community Event on the forthcoming EPSRC CDT call 3-4.30pm, Monday 23 May 2020 (in Microsoft Teams) Open to all UCL staff

About this event

The next UKRI/EPSRC call for Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT) is expected in early 2023. To share what is known so far about the forthcoming call, experiences from the last competition in 2018 and current centres, and to support thinking and planning ahead of the 2023 round, UCL Research Innovation & Global Engagement (RIGE) is convening an online community briefing and discussion to take place between 3-4.30pm on Monday 23 May on Teams.

The event is open to all UCL staff interested in the forthcoming competition, and the content and outputs of the event will be widely shared for those that are not able to participate on the day. The event will be chaired by Professor Jacqui Glass, Vice-Dean (Research) in the Bartlett Faculty of Built Environment.

Speakers include:

-Professor David Bogle, Pro-Vice-Provost of the UCL Doctoral School

-Professor Gareth Williams (UCL School of Pharmacy), Co-Director of the EPSRC CDT in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies

-Professor Neil Curson (LCN/Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering), Co-Director EPSRC CDT in Advanced Characterisation of Materials

-Dr Matt Davis, Director of Research Facilitation & Coordination (BEAMS), UCL RIGE
