Event Details

We invite you to Ubuntu Supper Club, a special South African dining and cultural evening in our home. Experience the rich and diverse culture through an exploration of South African food, history and what it means to practice Ubuntu - I am because you are.

This will be an intimate dinner party featuring three courses, each from a different South African ethnic group, and wine pairings. Because we are not a restaurant, we do not charge as a traditional restaurant would. You are welcome to make a donation to help cover the ingredient cost and time invested. Our suggested donation is $75-$100, which includes a three course meal and wine pairings. While we do offer a suggested donation, please donate what you feel comfortable donating. Please purchase one ticket per person attending.

If we become fully booked, we will open up a waiting list in case of cancellations. Refunds may be made up to 7 days before the event.

The meaning of “kuluntu” is “community” in isiXhosa. The mission of Kuluntu Bakery is to build community through  baking & breaking bread.

Currently, we work towards our mission by teaching a variety of baking workshops from sourdough bread to holiday pies and chocolate bonbons.

Kuluntu Bakery is a cottage food business located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Our dream is to open a brick and mortar bakery that will be focused on women’s empowerment through education, baking training, and community enrichment activities, using the collective impact model.

We love to provide desserts and bread for any kind of occasion. If you are interested in making an individual order, please contact Kuluntu Bakery directly.
