Event description

Description

Choosing the right typeface drastically changes how words are interpreted. In this class students will learn how to develop their neon bending skills to read and plan a pattern in order to bring any font imagined to life in lights. We will begin by choosing a type to work and the correct scale and tube size to match the style of the text. Students will experience the difference between bending serif, sans serif, and script fonts, and why some fonts are easier to work with than others. By the end of the week, students should feel confident choosing an appropriate type for their work and seeing through their ideas from start to finish. This class is best suited for students with some previous neon experience, as we will be focused on more advanced skills.
