TypeOneNation Summit- New Jersey Metro 2016
Join other individuals, families, and caregivers affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) at all life stages for a day of education and connection at the TypeOneNation Summit. Talk to experts about research advances, meet with other attendees to exchange ideas, and participate in discussions important to you.

While parents are attending the breakout sessions, kids and teens will be able to attend seperate programming with breakout sessions and activities. The teens will listen to Brian Foster, Team Novo Nordisk Elite Athlete as well Brian Herrick, who participated in the human clinical trials for the artificial pancreas. Afterward, teens will have the opportunity to ask and submit anonymous questions to the young adult panel.
For children ages 5-12, there will be a Kids Korner with various activities provided by Camp Nejeda counselors and crafts by Michael's Miracles, and volunteer nurses on hand for emergencies. Please note, parents are responsible for checking their child's blood sugar.
Teens and children will join their parents for breakfast and lunch.
