Join the Two Rivers String Quartet for an all-American program honoring the Martin Luther King Holiday. The program will highlight music of Duke Ellington, Quincy Porter, and Scott Joplin. Also featured will be the powerful First Quartet of Samuel Barber, written in 1936. The slow middle movement of this Quartet was the basis for Adagio for Strings, Barber’s most famous work and one of the best-known and most-loved American orchestral works of the 20th Century. This will be a program with soul and bounce.

We are primarily residents of the Eastern Panhandle who have a passion for good music and who are willing to support FOM financially and through volunteer efforts. Our patrons are concentrated in the cities of Shepherdstown, Martinsburg and Charles Town, West Virginia, but we have regular patrons and supporters in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
