Event description

Description

Moment Improv Theatre hosts a monthly "Two Play Improv Extravaganza" which features three unique improv comedy duos who each push the limit of what is possible onstage in inventive and interesting ways. The show also includes a San Francisco based stand-up comedian. WAIT, that was FAKE NEWS! This month we have a VERY special stand-up comic all the way from the UK!!! His name is Milo Edwards and he is simply fanstastic. He willl host the show and perform his own hilarious set to kick off the evening's entertainment.

The theater space is intimate and features excellent sight-lines, and incredible acoustics so you can capture every nuance of the performance. The theater lobby is a great place to meet new friends and talk with the performers in a warm atmosphere, with drinks served by our friends at Azucar Lounge.

Headlining this month's show is the nationally performing improv duo, Shades of Grey featuring Jill Eickmann of Leela & Marcus Sams of Moment Improv Theatre! This duo has performed together for over 14 years and have performed at festivals across the country. "I really dropped my jaw during Shades of Grey. And the two of you together were simply terrific---your trust and attention, along with your comedic gifts, are front and center. Wow." - Julie Payne (Curb your Enthusiasm)

Right before them you will see Bingewatch perform Improv you can't get enough of. Diana Brown and Dan Wilson recreate the lost pilot of a show that you have never seen but would watch the hell out of.

Your improv openers this month will be a real treat! Bryce Byerley & Clay Robeson are: UNEMPLOYED and they both have very impressive improv resumes. They have studied, played, and taught improv. Truly vets to the stage. So, get ready to laugh off your long week with us at Moment!

This is a 18+ Event.

More info:

Host: Milo Edwards

Milo Edwards is a British comedian from London, who started performing stand-up at Cambridge University in 2011 as part of the famous Footlights club (the starting point for Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Monty Python amongst others). Since graduating he has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, in clubs across the UK and Europe and has (accidentally) become a TV star in Russia after moving to Moscow for a few months to take some time out, and ending up becoming a regular on the show StandUp on the TNT network. When not doing stand-up he is also a host of the Trashfuture podcast and a source of confusion for his parents.

January 2018 will see his first ever performances on US soil and possibly his last if nobody comes, so please don’t miss it.
