About this Event

Flyways: a Musical Celebration of the Great Bird Migration from Southern Africa through the Middle East to Eurasia will be presented on Thursday, March 19 beginning at 5:00pm at the JCC of Greater New Haven. Paul Winter will perform solo and present a musical chronicle of migrating birds journey across several continents and numerous countries. Paul will incorporate indigenous music of the 16 cultures encompassed in the migratory pattern. The Flyways project was a collaboration between Paul Winter and world-renowned Israeli ornithologist Yossi Leshem. The event will also showcase the works of 15 Earth-centric artists, whose art will be available for purchase on March 19th and 22nd. $20/pp. A silent auction will also benefit the farm.

In Celebration of the Earth Concert: On Sunday, March 22, the five-member Paul Winter Consort featuring Shelton vocalist Theresa Thomason will present a feature-length concert, In Celebration of the Earth, at 5:00pm in Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. The Consort's unique genre of 'Earth Music’ draws from their deep roots in jazz, classical and world music, and is interwoven with voices from the natural world. A pre-show reception will begin at 3:00pm with light fare and artist's showcase. $40/pp.

We are also offering a limited number of combination tickets if you'd like to attend both events. $55/pp
