Two for the Seesaw
Playwright William Gibson's first major hit on Broadway, Two for the Seesaw, opened in 1958. It received rave reviews, starring Henry Fonda and the then unknown actress, Anne Bancroft. The play was made into a film three years later with Robert Mitchum and Shirley MacLaine taking over the roles.
Rarely produced today, now's your chance to see this wonderful play in Denver's newest jewel-box theatre!
A perfect blend of comedy and drama, Two for the Seesaw is the story of a Nebraska lawyer who moves to New York to escape his marriage and has a brief but passionate affair with an eccentric dancer. The play features delightful set design with two small apartments sharing the stage. Mid-Century Modern inspired design continues in our gallery which will feature photography of MCM homes and 60's fashion.
Two for the Seesaw is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
