Description
Two-Day Watercolor Workshop
September 12-13, 2014
9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Firehouse Arts Center
4444 Railroad Ave., Pleasanton, CA
This workshop will include watercolor demonstrations, plenty of painting time, individual coaching and gentle critiques. Participants will use Jeannie’s template and photos or bring own references (still life, floral or portrait) to paint on 11”x14” watercolor paper. At the end of the workshop, they will gain skill in watercolor techniques, the use of a limited palette, ways to see and paint light and color, and techniques to heighten color.
Known for her patient teaching methods, Jeannie Vodden will demonstrate her rhythmic wet-on-dry approach to watercolor using a limited palette of transparent staining colors.
She lives and paints in the foothills of the Northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. A versatile painter of portraits, still life, floral, landscape and fantasy, Jeannie most often paints with watercolor. She is on the faculty of the California Water Color Association’s Watercolor Workshops 2014. For more information about Jeannie, visit www.Jeannievodden.com
