Daniel Greenfeld, VP of Development and Lead Instructor

Daniel Greenfeld is well-known in the Python and Django communities as a speaker at conferences and as a core developer and contributor to major open-source projects. He is one of the founders of LA Python and a co-organizer of LA Django users groups. He has written Python course material for O'Reilly and taught classes at PyCon 2010 and 2011. He is also well-known for his work on usability, accessibility, and Section 508 compliance.

Daniel has over 5 years of experience developing high-performance web application software for NASA. He has also consulted for some of the most prestigious firms in the Python and Django world, including Revolution Systems, Eldarion, and Holdenweb, LLC. His open-source work has been used by The Discovery Channel, PBS, The Washington Post, and Media General.

Audrey Roy, VP of Design and Instructor

Audrey Roy's design and development work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired News, Technology Review, on CNBC, in the International Design Awards, and on top blogs such as TechCrunch and LiveScience. She is also well-known in the Silicon Valley startup and developer communities and has spoken at large events at Google. She is the lead organizer of PyLadies and one of the co-founders of LA Python.

Audrey has worked as a Program Manager for Microsoft, as a C++/Windows developer for Sharpcast, as a PHP/PostgreSQL/MySQL developer for Brown University and MIT, and as a fine artist using Python and JavaScript to create generative digital artwork for San Francisco galleries and art collectors. She is especially passionate about Python/JavaScript development with the Django Web Framework. She has a degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
