CLASS DESCRIPTION Come join us and create an amazing ring while you build your wire skills. This is class two of "Learn Wire Wrapping with Maria Richmond" Fall 2017 three part series. You can enroll in one class or all three. Create an amazing bracelet base with one continuous piece of buttery soft annealed copper which you can embellish with your choice of beads. Some skills or techniques to be learned:
1. Make evenly spaced spirals
2. Oxidize the base wire if they choose
3. How to wire wrap to attach your choice of beads

INSTRUCTOR Artist Maria Richmond draws her inspiration from the possibilities she sees in ordinary objects and materials. While she plays with wire, she often envisions unique ways of combining traditional, repurposed, and found objects into her creations. She regularly teaches in Western Pennsylvania, as well as other venues. She teaches basic and intermediate techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Her goal is to help her students find their own creative voice and the endless possibilities in the seemingly mundane.
