Event description
Join us for a walking tour of our farm!

About this event

Take an evening stroll around Arcadia Farm with Arcadia staff and learn how and why we farm the way we do -- regeneratively! -- and discover the inspiring and mostly unknown defiant history of these acres (it will give you chills!). We will start with a toast to the setting sun and wander through our farm fields to see what's growing.

This walking tour will take about 90 minutes, and we will be circumnavigating the 126-acre Woodlawn Pope-Leighey site, walking uphill, on grass and on gravel. Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing (and bug spray, and a refillable water bottle)

COVID INFO: We require all volunteers coming to the farm to complete a waiver PRIOR to coming on-site. The waiver will be sent in an email 24 hours before the event. You MUST have a signed/completed form in order to come on-site. We will require your contact information for contact tracing post-event as well!

Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture is dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable food system and culture in the Washington, DC area and a collaborative space for the many local efforts and initiatives around better food.

Our mission is to improve the health of our community, the viability of local farmers, and preserve our environment for future generations by combining education about healthy food and its sources with better logistical connections between local farmers and the urban and suburban core of the region.
