July 23 - August 10, 2014
For our 19th season of FREE Shakespeare on the Common, CSC is pleased to present Twelfth Night, Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love in disguise. One of the Bard’s most popular plays, Twelfth Night follows the journey of Viola and Sebastian, twins separated by a shipwreck, as they encounter loss and love in their new homeland—the mythical and magical land of Illyria.
Reserved Chairs -
Reserving a chair in the newly renamed Friends Section is now a benefit of supporting the CSC Fund, which with grants and sponsorships makes Free Shakespeare on the Common possible. Make a minimum donation of $50 and receive one reserved chair in the CSC Friends Section for a
performance of Twelfth Night this summer on the Boston Common, as well as other special benefits.
Anyone can become a Friend of CSC!
Space is limited. Online reservations can be made up to four hours prior to the performance. A limited number of chairs will be available on-site for $50 each.
The Friends Section will open for seating 90 minutes before curtain and must be claimed
30 minutes before curtain or risk being released.
All donations are NON-REFUNDABLE. We are happy to try to exchange chair reservations to a different evening if the request is received at least 24 hours in advance or if the performance is cancelled due to inclement weather. Black out dates do apply. Due to the high volume of reservations, CSC is not able to reschedule chairs if they go unclaimed.
The safety of our audience and actors is our first priority. Rain storms tend to move quickly through our area. We will hold the show if we think it the rain will pass or cancel the show if the weather is severe. In case of heavy rain or lightening storms we will cancel the performance.
There are several ways to get the latest weather information: call the CSC weather hotline at 781-239-5972, check our website at www.commshakes.org, or follow Commonwealth Shakespeare Company on Facebook or Twitter. Decisions are typically made close to curtain.
