About this event
Twelfth Night – The Christian celebration of Christmas has evolved over the centuries from a raucous, adult-focused party into a somber, child-oriented day of gift giving. Join us as we explore the evolution of this winter holiday to learn the origins of many time-honored traditions and why we sing about 12 days of Christmas. End your evening in our 19th century tavern with singing, dancing, games and refreshments.
Take a guided tour of the home, learning about the holiday traditions of the early 19th century. The home will be decorated as it would be have been in the early 1800s, and you'll get to listen to live music on the 1821 pianoforte in the ladies parlor during the tour. Afterwards join other guests in the barn for music from The Traveling Caudells, parlor games, and refreshments.
Adults: $18
