Coding Club is an after-school program designed for ages 9 - 12. Our goal is to encourage students to learn computer skills in a friendly, guided environment. Tweens can practice coding, logic, program design, problem solving, and robotics with fun, hands on activites. This is a month long program. For more information please contact our Teen Librarian, Jen Goudge, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 376-2226.
Class will be held on Jan. 9, 16, 23, & 30.
We teach this class in 2 levels:
- First time attendees will set up a Code.org account, and learn about sequencing, algorithms, loops, and conditionals with hands-on activities and group games.
- Children who have attended before will continue to practice coding, learn about program design, programming language, debugging, and take on new coding challenges and activities each week.
For best results, we ask that students attend all 4 classes or the remainder of the programs if you register after dates have passed.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration or call 376-2226 so we may give your spot to the next person on the waitlist.
