Description

If you're constantly multi-tasking, and juggling various different demands at home and at work, it maybe time to try mindfulness. Come along and join the Thames Valley Chartered Accountant Students Society at the Apex Plaza, Reading. Open to ICAEW ACA students and their friends, complimentary refreshments on arrival.

This free workshop will enable you to understand how mindfulness techniques can improve your ability to cope with stress in the workplace or at home, manage anxiety and depression, improve your concentration, energy levels and enjoyment of life.

You’ll also have the opportunity to try out a number of mindfulness strategies and with regular practice you’ll be able to:
• Improve your mental and physical health
• Manage stress more effectively & reduce anxiety
• Reduce emotional reactivity
• Improve relationships at home and at work

Location:Apex Plaza, Forbury Road, Reading RG1 1AX, meeting room three and four on the sixth floor.

Transport:Reading train station is approx. five minutes walk from the venue. Trains frequently run from Theale, Winnersh Triangle, Maidenhead, Slough, Newbury, and London.

Speaker:Miro Cansky combines the accumulated insight from 20 years of personal mindfulness practice with a wealth of knowledge and experience working with a wide range of organisations and individuals. He has worked with clients from the private sector, social care, education, and NHS.

Miro originally trained in business and marketing, and worked as a marketing analyst for educational organisations in the Czech Republic. Upon moving to the UK in 2005 he qualified as a counsellor. He trained in teaching mindfulness with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University, and is a fully qualified mindfulness trainer. He also successfully completed a 2-year training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT) at the University of Exeter and is currently active as an associate supervisor and assessor at the Exeter University mindfulness programme. Miro's other skills include coaching, counselling and cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT).
