Description
Tuskegee Airmen - 75 Years of Excellence
The Tuskegee Experience began March 22, 1941 during World War II. The activation of the U.S. Army Air Corps 99th Pursuit Squadron at Chanute Field on this date began the advent of a legacy born directly from the effort and determination of over 16,000 proud men and women.
The fortitude of these individuals to stand strong in the face of adversity established the first black combat aviation unit comprised of pilots and support personnel trained at Tuskegee Army Air Field and other locations.
75 years later, the intrinsic value that the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen now holds must be celebrated in a fashion that is equal to the foundation of valor that they built and left for us to stand on.
The objective of the Tuskegee Airmen Foundation, Inc. (TAF) is to source funding support for Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. (TAI) programs in the areas of legacy preservation, aviation education, and academic preparation (STEM) for youth.
To help celebrate this milestone we have set a goal to raise $75 Million over ten years for the Tuskegee Airmen Youth Aerospace and STEM Academy as a perpetual memorial to the Tuskegee Airmen.
