Connie Amos-Parsons, the Owner/CEO of At Your Service Events Planner in Alexandria, is an Accredited Wedding Planner, Certified Sandals Specialist and the Virginia State Manager for the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC). ABC is the largest organization for wedding professionals with over 3,000 members worldwide. At Your Service Events Planner celebrated 9 years in business March 31. Connie developed and taught “Introduction to Wedding and Events Planning” at Central VA Community College, a 12 hour “Small Business Start Up” class and a webinar “Business is Business” for ABC, with over 100 attendees, US and international. She gives back to her community by planning and executing non-profit fundraisers for organizations such as, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Lynchburg Alumnae Chapter, and is President of a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, Hill City Associates. Connie is a speaker and expert on wedding topics and trends which included News Advance, Lynchburg Living, Central VA Bridal Guide and ABC. At Your Service Events Planner received the 2016 Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Awards, which is given to the top 5% of wedding professionals worldwide annually. Connie has a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland College Park and a Master’s Certificate in Leadership Development for Managers, from Johns Hopkins University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Connie retired from the Federal Government as a Project Manager (PMP) and Senior Management Analyst.
Connie is married to Shawn Harper and has two adult children, Michelle and Andre, and three grandsons, who reside in Gaithersburg, MD and Dallas, TX. Connie’s hobbies and passion are traveling, the beach, reading, music, walking/jogging, singing in her church choir and loving life.
