Event description

Description

Help ensure democracy is habit forming! The Reeb Voting Rights Project returned from North Carolina in February, fired up from participating in Let Justice Roll phone banks, which identified marginalized voters. Our North Carolina partners, Democracy NC and You Can Vote, now need help to turn out the vote for the May 8th primary. Why focus on the primary? Research shows that if people vote in the primary, they are more likely to vote in the midterms.

These phone banks will call infrequent voters who who did not vote in 2014 but did vote in 2016. Please sign up to make calls with us and increase midterm turnout in NC! Bring your cell phone and charger. Fun, food, drink, and the opportunity to make a difference will be provided! No experience needed, we will provide training and all materials.

Details about this location: The entrance is on the North Carolina Ave. side of the building - sometimes GPS sends drivers to the back, which is a separate unit. Requires climbing stairs. There is usually some street parking in the area, but people might have to park a block or two away. In terms of public transit, the best way to get there is the D6 or 96 bus. Another option is to take the metro to Stadium Armory and walk (about 15 minutes).
