Get outdoors this June and give back to your community!

Join TUGG (Technology Underwriting Greater Good) and friends from Greater Boston tech for our third TUGG IT FORWARD tech service activity of 2017! This time we're going outsdoors with the Esplanade Association!

The Project for the Afternoon

We are coming together to help clean up the Esplanade! By lending a hand and a few hours of your day, you can help us clean up one of the most iconic areas in Boston.

The TUGG group will likely be doing a combination of raking leaves, cleaning up trash, and possibly painting benches or removing invasive plants and vegetation. The Esplanade Association relies on volunteers to help keep the grounds clean and ready for the summer.

This event is FREE ..but...there is a $20/pp cancellation fee (we need to know we can count on you). Space is limited.



FAQs

What is the Esplanade Association?

The Esplanade Association (EA) is the only private non-profit group dedicated to maintaining and improving the Charles River Esplanade. Since the founding EA has been the catalyst for over $28 million in park improvements.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is no on-site parking, so we encourage volunteers to take the T or rideshare.

  • Red Line: exit at the Charles/MGH stop and cross the Arthur Fiedler footbridge to the Esplanade.
  • Green Line: exit at the Arlington stop, walk up Arlington Street towards the Charles River, and cross the Arthur Fiedler footbridge to the Esplanade.

What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty.

Do I need to bring a water bottle?

Yes. Please bring your own water bottle to help reduce plastic waste.

I want to volunteer with a friend, how do I sign up?
You will each need to volunteer individually, but you are welcome to team up at the afternoon of service.

I want to sign up my whole company. Can I do that?
Sorry! Not this time. This a small event, 50 people max and we need everyone to register individually and be held accountable.

What if I can't make it?
We get it! Life happens, as per our cancellation policy please notify us 2 days prior to the event if you must cancel or you will be charged a $20 per person cancellation fee. (Cancellation fee not applicable to TUGG annual partner companies)
