with Angela Newton, Trained Art Educator and Fine Artist

Tuesday July 31, 10:00-2:30pm, ages 7-11 $44 if registered by July 20 ($54 after July 20)

Rustling trees, bristling bears, icey landscapes, and the echo of bird calls will inspire Students as they learn about native folk art inspired by this severe climate, one of instructor Angela Newton’s favorite places… ALASKA! Develop an appreciation for Alaskan native inhabitants and their unique creativity while exploring a variety of techniques to make several art projects. Students will learn how resourceful early Alaskan artists were in utilizing natural materials for creating their intricate designs and functional art pieces. Students will enjoy this “refreshing” art experience during our hottest days of Summer.

*Bring a sack lunch and water bottle to enjoy during break, all other materials are provided.
