About this Event

TUESDAY TABLE TENNIS IS FINALLY HERE!!

Come down, sign up to play and do your best. Winner stays on for the next challenger! Bar is open all night to ensure you're playing your best. NO COVER CHARGE!!

Scoring

- For each game, the first player to reach 11 points wins that game, however a game must be won by at least two points differential.

- A point is scored after each ball is put into play (NOT just when the server wins the point while serving, as in volleyball).

- If the receiver hits the ball or touches the ball before it hits their side of the table, they ONLY loose the point if ball is struck (intentionally or unintentionally) within the surface area of the table. If the outgoing ball is touched or struck outside the table surface area, the ball is called "OUT" and receiver wins the point.

- The edges of the table are part of the legal table surface, but not the sides.

Flow of the Match

Each player serves two points in a row and then switch server. However, if a score of 10-10 is reached in any game, then each server serves only one point and then the server is switched.

Legal Service

The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server's side and then the opponent's side. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved.

- Server must serve from behind the table baseline and above the table height.

- A serve can be short or long, it can bounce once on opponent side or multiple times.

- A serve can go straight off the table or from the sides of the table on the receiver side.

- Receiver must return the serve after one bounce, or else receiver looses the point.

- There is no limit to the number of net (let) serves.

- There is no second serve in case of fault in Table Tennis (unlike Tennis).

PLEASE BE GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT! THIS IS PING PONG, SO TAKE IT EASY. LETS KEEP IT FUN!
