Thie energizing one hour tubano drum workshop is an interactive and educational event where participants will learn about the tubano drum, a cylindrical hand drum with an Afro-Cuban influence. During the workshop, participants will learn basic drumming techniques, explore different rhythms and beats, and engage in group drumming exercises that promote teamwork and communication. Workshop is open to age 7 and up! Adults are welcome! (All children attending the workshop must be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop.)

The tubano drum is cylindrical in shape and is made from fiberglass or other lightweight materials, making it more portable and durable than traditional wooden drums. The tubano drum is often used in drum circles and other group drumming activities due to its deep, resonant sound and ease of use. While the tubano drum has roots in West African drumming traditions, it has since become a popular instrument in many different musical styles and cultural contexts.
