Join us for a Tu Bish'vat (New Year of the Trees) Celebration
On Friday, February 10, at a 6:30 Shabbat service, Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner, the new Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (and a new member of our congregation) will speak on "Fulfilling our Commandment 'to Till and to Tend' by Confronting the Catastrophic Climate Crisis". Afterwards at a creative, vegetarian feast we will continue the discussion and ask what we can do on individual, congregational, local, national, and global levels. To quote Rabbi Pesner, "Given the uncertainty in the wake of the recent election, it is more important than ever for the faith community to speak loudly and clearly in our sacred role as stewards of God's creation."
Sponsored by the Temple Sinai Green-Team and the Social Action Committee. For further information, contact Regina Ziegler or Robyn Miller-Tarnoff, co-chairs of the TS Green Team.
Vegetarian dinner will be ordered from Chaia and Shemali's.
