FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR for Portland Media

A one man show usually means a singular effort by one performer however when Comic /Actor TTTom Clark performs his one man show, "Tourists, Teenagers, Technology, and Other Things Ain't Right" Sat Mar 9th at The Regency Hotel in Portland it will be a collaboration of many to benefit Portland Media Center.

There are 3 Maine players Tom Handel Executive Director at PMC, David Davis Director of Sales at Portland Regency and TTTom Clark. All 3 have had a connection for over 20 yrs with Clark being the conduit.

TTTom Clark first met David when he was a wine salesman and I did a gig as a "Corporate Imposter" . Since that meeting Davis has hired Clark numerous times as a stand up comic.

Tom Handel has been the Executive Director of the nonprofit Portland Media Center for over 20 years. PMC houses not only the public access station (channel 1301) but channel 1303, a regional community station. They also teach classes in video production at affordable prices so anyone, regardless of means can have access to the media. Clark first appeared on the station 20 years ago as host of a show and has appeared as a stand up comic on the station in the years since.

Tom has been doing his Character show successfully for 6 seasons at The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport and when he decided to expand to the Portland area, The Regency was a natural fit for a venue.

The three have now joined forces to support a benefit for Portland Media Center.

Tom’s character, C.L. is an old Mainer, the kind you might have seen sitting around the wood stove in the back of the general store in a Norman Rockwell painting. He’s not so much a story teller as he is a rambling old uncle with a comic viewpoint that audiences really seem to be responding to,” said Clark. “I like that I can use both my acting and stand up skills.

Join the fun on March 9th at The Regency Hotel and Spa at 8pm. Tickets are $18 at the door or $15 online. There will be a cash bar and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Portland Media Center. The Great Lost Bear Restaurant is a sponsor. FMI, contact any of the websites listed.
