Frequently Asked Questions
As a parent/guardian, am I allowed to stay during the event?
Yes please! We kindly ask that you stay during the entire event. You can move from station to station with your child and talk to coaches, learn about playing opportunities and see your child experience the different sports. There is no seating for parents during the event, but feel free to bring a sports chair for the sidelines. Plus, if your child needs something such as a bathroom break or water, you are there to help!
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive between 10:30AM - 10:50AM. The group warm-up begins at 11AM, and we want to have plenty of time to get your children registered and on the field. They can also change into their t-shirt, take a picture with the Detroit Tiger's PAWS and use the restroom before the event begins.
Can I bring food and drink with me?
The only food and beverage allowed on the field is water. There will be a water station available during the event.
Please provide your child with a healthy breakfast or snack prior to the event to fuel their day. Pizza will be served to the children on the way out of the event.
What should my child wear?
Please wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. A t-shirt will be provided.
What equipment should I bring with me?
Nothing! Everything for the sports clinic will be provided on-site.
Does my child have to try all of the sports?
We would like them to! Each child will be assigned to start at a specific sport and will then rotate every 15 minutes through all of the sports. This is a great opportunity for them to try something that they may not normally choose, but will hopefully enjoy!
Can I bring pets to the event?
Please keep your four legged friends at home for the event!
