Iron is everywhere. It has been for thousands of years. Our tools, handrails, even buildings are all made out of steel. In this class, you will learn how to shape this commonplace yet magical substance. Using a hammer and tongs, you will heat metal in the forge, and pound it on the anvil, making a useful and elegant bottle opener!
This class is perfect for the complete beginner, or anyone who wants a brief refresher in basics.
Please wear proper clothing for working in the forge: closed toe shoes (preferably leather, but sneakers will do), natural fiber clothing, and long pants that cover the tops of your shoes. There will be sparks, there will be fire. Stay safe!
There is a minimum of 3 students required to run this class and a maximum of 6 students.

Students will have the option of transferring their ticket to another class or receiving a refund.
