Children’s Chores Program for elementary age students (This field trip cannot accommodate any children younger than 6 for their own safety.)
May 5, 2017, 10:30am-noon (formal field trip) noon-3pm (optional picnic lunch and village exploration on own)
Cost includes a hands-on experience which may include: butter making, hauling wood, carding wool, weaving, shouldering a yoke and other seasonal activities. Parents will help supervise the different stations. Dress for the temperature since about half of the program will be held outside unless there is rain. Please wear close-toed shoes. Each person will also receive a souvenir.
The formal field trip will end at noon, but feel free to pack a lunch and eat at the village picnic tables. Your admission allows you to visit the rest of the village which includes the main building, a log cabin, the Caswell House, a general store, a print shop, and a school(can only view the school from the outside).
LIMIT OF 30 children plus their parents can attend.
