About this event

Through a classroom experience of hatching fish eggs and coordinated activities, students experience firsthand the value of aquatic environments, the balance that must be met to maintain and preserve California’s fisheries and aquatic habitats, and how their personal actions affect these valuable resources.

Successful completion of this training class qualifies teachers to apply for a permit to hatch fish, receive eggs and to receive classroom support and equipment to enable you to hatch fish in the classroom.

You only need to attend 1 full day and must be present for the entire workshop to be certified to receive fish eggs. (you will select your day on one of the upcoming pages)

NOTE: We are having some difficulties with the registration process this year - I am closing all ticket groups for now EXCEPT the waitlist even though we have tickets available in some areas. Please sign up on the waitlist I will move you into the workshop if we are able.

My apologies for this - I must have inadvertantly set up the registration process incorrectly this year. If you have questions, shoot me an email ethan.rotman@wildlife.ca.gov
