Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 General Assembly: Private Partners Meeting

As a part of the TFA 2020 General Assembly (GA17) programme, it is with great pleasure that I invite you to the invitation-only partners meeting, on 22 March 2016, at the Royal Tulip Alvorada Hote, Brasilia. The final day of the GA17 programme will bring 100 TFA 2020 partners to finalise the 2017-18 workplan and discuss the Action Agenda 2020 to achieve deforestation-free supply chains.

We only invite one representative from each partner organization to this partners meeting. However, TFA 2020 welcomes public participation (upon registration) to the International Forest Day Event the day before.
Breakdown on the GA Week Programme:
Optional Field Trips organized by Partners - 17/18 - 20 March
TFA 2020 partners will have an opportunity to participate in field trips to TFA 2020 partner projects in the region of Brazil and Paraguay. If you are interested in participating in field trip, choose from the 7 field trips listed here, explore the detailed agenda for each field trip and confirm you participation to the hosts by no later than 15 February, 2017.
Partner side meetings – 20 March 14.00 – 18.00
TFA 2020 welcomes partners to host side-events ahead of the kick of the General Assembly on Monday at Royal Tulip Hotel, Brasilia between 14.00 and 18.00 on Monday 20th March, 2017. Welcome Reception & Dinner – 20 March
TFA 2020 Second General Assembly will formally begin on the evening of 20 March with a TFA 2020 partner reception and welcome dinner for all of those invited and registered to attend the invitation-only meeting on 22 March.
International Forest Day open for public upon registration – 21 March
The International Forest Day will be a full day conference of TFA 2020 Partners and Friends, bringing together over 200 representatives of government, business, civili society, international organisations and local communities to come together to share knowledge and best practices in advancing our journey toward deforestation-free supply chains. The programme will include two High-Level panel with special focus on our host country, Brazil and their national and sub-national work towards deforestation. In addition six knowledge exchange sessions will be hosted by TFA 2020 partners, running simultaneously three at a time. See the full programme of the Knowledge Exchange sessions here.
