Tropfest USA will hold its inaugural Roughcut film symposium on Friday, December 7, 2012 at The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s landmark state-of-the-art Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center.
WHAT IS ROUGHCUT?
Tropfest spin-off event, Roughcut, was created to cultivate outstanding storytelling on screen and to foster a culture of dynamic and creative filmmakers. It’s only apropos that the first ever Roughcut New York focuses on the heart and soul of the filmmaking process – storytelling.
The day’s programming will delve into the thought process of creative thinkers - what makes them tick and how each of their disciplines contributes to the filmmaker’s vision.
Roughcut New York will play host to an incredible lineup of industry talent who will speak in an intimate forum about how each of their disciplines contributes to the filmmaker’s vision.
The symposium will kick off at 10.00am and will conclude at approximately 4.30pm.

Tickets to Roughcut are $35 (plus standard processing costs) for the entire day's programming. Ticket price also includes coffee and light lunch.
