Trojan Entertainment Network & Marshall/LA Take You Inside Amazon Studios
Amazon Studios Joe Lewis Speaks At Trojan Entertainment Network & Marshall Alumni/LA Business Breakfast
Great speaker, historic downtown LA location, The California Club
We are excited to host our next Business Breakfast: A fireside chat with USC alum Joe Lewis, Head of Half Hour and Drama Series Development at Amazon Studios.
The moderator for the event is Tony Etz, Creative Artists Agency agent since 1994, who has packaged shows across broadcast and cable including House, Lost, and Rescue Me. Etz is also an adjunct professor at USC.
Joe and Tony will discuss the beginnings of Amazon Studios and how Joe worked to build Amazon into a major Emmy winning player in the digital TV space.
Joe Lewis joined Amazon Studios in 2012 as the first hire of the original TV division and has been essential to the growth of Amazon Video. In his current role he runs half-hour programming, which includes increasing numbers of comedy, dramedy and documentary series. Lewis led Amazon’s first pilot slate which included Amazon’s first original series Alpha House and Betas. In 2014, he oversaw the critically-acclaimed original series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, as well as two additional pilots, including Bosch, Amazon’s first one-hour drama.
Space is limited for this special event, and The California Club dress code will be strictly enforced (business attire, no denim, no sneakers).
Park at Westlawn Garage underground parking at the Los Angeles Public Library, 524 S. Flower, next to The California Club.
