Troegs Scratch #98 - Triple Mango IPA

Imperial IPA - 11.3% 125 IBUs
Originally released as Scratch #58, Triple Mango IPA is inspired by an award-winning recipe from a local homebrew contest. It weighs in at a whopping 11.3% ABV and 125 IBUs and features copious amounts of Columbus, Nugget, Palisade, and Simcoe hops as well as cane sugar and Alphonso mangoes. Triple Mango IPA will be available on draft as well as a limited run of cases and six-packs.

Troegs Scratch #99 - Witbier

Witbier - 4.9% 20 IBUs
For Scratch #99, we're revisiting the blissful world of the Belgian-style Witbier, or white ale. This beer typically features a blend of wheat and barley along with spices and Belgian yeast to create a refreshing and complex flavor. With a dense haze from the red wheat and a foamy white head, Scratch #99 incorporates subtle tartness and a delicate orange aroma that complements the spices and the LaChouffe yeast. The finish is dry and crisp.

Troegs Scratch #95 - Kolsch

Klsch - 5.2% 26 IBUs
The next installment in our Scratch Beer Series is another German style, the Kolsch. Developed in Cologne, Germany, this particular beer is warm fermented, then cold conditioned (or "lagered") to bolster the fruity attributes present in the Kolsch yeast strain. Pale and straw-colored with a foamy white head, this refreshing, medium-bodied ale offers subtle hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish with hints of white grapes, spiced apple, and citrus fruit.

Troegs HopBack Amber Ale

American Amber Ale - 6% 55 IBUs
Troegs Brewery's Flagship beer, HopBack Amber Ale derives its name from a vessel in the brewhouse called a hopback. As the 'wort' is being transferred from the brewhouse to fermentation it passes through the hopback vessel. Packed full of fresh whole flower hops, the wort slowly circulates through this vessel extracting the essence of the aromatic hops. This vessel adds more time and more hop character that creates a fresh, spicy taste and rich caramel note that defines this signature ale.

Troegs Sunshine Pils

German Pilsner (Pils) - 5.3% 45 IBUs
Hop fans rejoice! Sunshine Pils combines the crisp taste of European style pilsners with a kicked-up hop character to create a balanced, refreshing seasonal beer. Golden in color with a fluffy white head, Sunshine Pils is the perfect beer for Summer. Seasonal release: April - August

Troegs DreamWeaver Wheat

American Wheat or Rye Beer - 4.8% 15 IBUs
Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Troegs brothers? dreamiest creation - Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining four wheat types with Munich and Pils malts, noble Saaz hops, and a yeast strain that imparts a spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy. Spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas. When serving DreamWeaver pour 3/4 of the beer into a wheat glass, rouse the yeast at the bottom of the bottle and pour the remainder into the glass for big frothy head.

Troegs Java Head Stout

Oatmeal Stout - 7.5% 60 IBUs
JavaHead Stout contains a blend of locally roasted espresso and Kenyan coffee beans by St. Thomas Roasters in Linglestown, PA. JavaHead's recipe is based off of our original oatmeal stout. After the boil, the hot wort passes through our hopback vessel on it's way to fermentation. Packed full of whole leaf hops and a bed of ground coffee beans, the hopback vessel is similar to using a huge French press, intensifying the coffee nose and releasing subtle hints of coffee flavor. The result is a lush oatmeal mouthfeel balanced with cocoa, roast and subtle coffee flavors.

Troegenator Double Bock

Doppelbock - 8.2% 25 IBUs
The Troegenator Double Bock, is a dark, strong lager (8.2% abv). It pours into a glass with a bronze to brown color, fluffy white head and bready malt aroma. The Troegenator leaves a rich, warming feeling and subtle spicy flavors. The style, Double Bock, dates back a century or so ago. During periods of fasting without solid foods, the Monastic brewers relied on the double bock; a stronger, richer beer to fulfill their basic nutritional needs. Known to them as "liquid bread," a double bock has a strong malt aroma and chewy rich body. Traditionally these brewers ended the name of their double bock with the suffix "ator", ex. Celabrator, Illuminator, Subliminator... In the spirit of the tradition we give you the Troegenator to provide warmth and richness through the early spring months. A double bock of epic proportions, beware, the Troegenator is deceiving smooth and delicious.

This may be your only chance to try some of the Scratch Series beers, so RSVP to save your spot!

Cheers,

Rich & Tim
