Event description

Description

IThis is LA LONE SCOUTS one-and-only Triple Merit Badge Day.

It is an all-day adventure in the Disneyland Resort where we will be using a Disney Youth Education Series (YES) Class: The Building Blocks of Scoring to fulfill many of many of requirements for THREE merit badges:

  • (a) the Eagle-required COMMUNICATION,
  • (b) DISABILITIES AWARENESS,
  • and (c) MUSIC.

About "The Building Blocks of Scoring":

This Music 201 workshop is held inside a Disney Rehearsal Hall with a professional Disney musician. Created for students with a musical background, this 90-minute interactive workshop dives even deeper into the world of attraction scoring. We will discover how music helps create the immersive experiences Disney parks are famous for around the world. Through a hand on approach of a music clinic, students work with a professional musician to explore various components of music and how it can create atmosphere, emotion, a sense of time, and place. The music clinician goes beyond mere theory by encouragIng students to make their own “magic” using elementary instruments and taking the first steps into becoming interactive composers themselves...taking communication to a whole new level.
