Join us for a TRIGGER Dinner - a menu of alternative conversation with food - canapés, starters, main, dessert and coffee - the depth and length of the questions depends on the course. Ask something unusual. And be honest in your answers. Tell someone what you really think and feel.
We give you the questions. You provide the answers. No prep necessary. Just turn up with an open mind. And an empty stomach.

Escape the Onion seeks to improve the delicious and reduce the waste.
Food waste doesn’t always mean food that’s past its prime. It’s any food that could end up being thrown away because it’s the wrong size, the wrong shape or there is simply a surplus.
We use surplus and wonky, seasonal fruit and veg to produce delicious meals to be enjoyed alongside good conversation.
Do I need to let you know about dietary requirements?

What is the menu?
All the food will be made from surplus, locally sourced, seasonal produce. This means that we don't always know exactly what we'll be cooking with until close to the date. So the menu will be released approximately 5 days before the event.
Can you give me an example of the types of question?
‘When I was a child, I wanted to be...'
‘Would you like to live more in your body or in your head?’
‘What makes a person a good travelling companion?
‘What is the most beautiful part about being human?’
